Yishun corridor wall โ built to block urine-hurling neighbour โ ordered down
A makeshift wooden wall erected by residents on the sixth-floor corridor of Block 112, Yishun Ring Road has been ordered removed by Nee Soon Town Council on fire safety grounds. The metre-high barrier, constructed from scrap wood, was a remarkably engineered response to a neighbour allegedly pouring soy sauce, urine, and other debris outside residents' doors โ it featured an interior latch and a cactus-lined top to prevent the offending party from reaching around to open it. The 63-year-old woman suspected of the harassment was arrested on 27 May 2017 for causing public nuisance and released on bail, though residents report loud banging from her flat continues into the early hours. Despite the council's order, residents say the wall will not be dismantled while the threat remains, and the harassment is alleged to have been ongoing for over two years.
