WHAT IS
YISHUN AGAIN?
Yishun Again is a satirical incident archive for Yishun, Singapore. It exists because Yishun has a reputation — earned, documented, and for reasons that remain unclear to everyone including us.
Our pipeline scrapes public news sources, drafts incident write-ups, and queues them for operator review. A human reviews and approves every entry before it goes live. No rumour is published. No private individual is named. Every incident links to at least one verifiable public source.
The Chaos Index is a weighted score computed from the severity and type of each incident. Daggers count triple. Clowns count 1.5×. Hearts subtract. This is not peer-reviewed.
Classification Guide
Severity & Hype
Every incident is rated from 1 to 5 for how serious it is. A filled diamond (◆) counts toward the rating, an empty one (◇) does not — so ◆◆◆◇◇ is a 3 out of 5. One diamond is a minor curiosity; five is as grave as it gets.
Severity is what powers the Chaos Index. Each incident contributes its severity multiplied by its type — Dark Events ×3, Absurdities ×1.5, Good Vibes ×−1 — and the year's running total is scaled to a 0–100 score.
Lightning bolts show how many independent mainstream media outlets reported the incident — one ⚡ per source. More bolts mean the story was more widely corroborated. Forum chatter is never counted as a source.
