Yishun among 13 locations raided as police net 17 in $720,000 gambling bust

Yishun was one of thirteen locations swept in a coordinated islandwide police operation on July 6, 2026, targeting unlawful remote gambling syndicates. Simultaneous raids were conducted across Singapore — including Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Bedok, Tampines, and Changi — with Yishun featuring among the primary targets. Fourteen men and three women, aged between 45 and 76, were arrested in connection with the operation. Police seized more than $720,000 in cash alongside electronic devices including mobile phones and computers, as well as gambling-related paraphernalia.
