Predator posed as teen online to rape girls as young as 11 in Yishun Park restroom

A 25-year-old man, Sayyid Mohamed, has pleaded guilty to statutory rape and sexual assault after targeting underage girls as young as 11 by posing as a teenager on Omegle and Instagram. The accused lied about his age to groom multiple victims, escalating contact from explicit messaging to in-person assaults, with at least two attacks carried out in a disabled restroom at Yishun Park. A 12-year-old victim was tracked down to a restaurant in Yishun on July 28, 2021, before being coerced into the park restroom where she was sexually assaulted — her escape only possible after she claimed to be menstruating. The crimes came to light after a classmate witnessed the pair entering the restroom and alerted a teacher, prompting the victim's mother to file a police report and leading to the man's arrest on August 5, 2021. Subsequent investigations uncovered three additional victims, including an 11-year-old who was raped twice and left with documented nightmares and flashbacks. The case has been adjourned for sentencing.
