Woman caught mid-fall from overhead bridge roof on Yishun Ave 2

A 30-year-old woman was rescued by SCDF officers after being spotted standing on the roof of an overhead bridge along Yishun Avenue 2 at approximately 4.55pm on Thursday, June 14. Witnesses filmed the woman swinging her arms atop the structure while inflatable safety life air packs were deployed below as a precautionary measure. SCDF officers brought her down to safety just as she began to fall, and she was subsequently conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. The woman was later arrested for attempted suicide, with Yishun Avenue 2 between Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Avenue 7 temporarily closed to facilitate police and SCDF operations. Police investigations are ongoing.
