Motorcyclist, 25, hospitalised after collision with van in Yishun
A 25-year-old motorcyclist was struck by a van outside Orchid Park Condominium on Yishun Street 81 on September 4 at around 6pm. Witness Stomper Lynn recounted that the van was turning right into an HDB carpark entrance when the motorcycle, travelling along the road, collided with it—the rider apparently failing to notice the turning vehicle. Lynn called 995, and an ambulance arrived approximately 20 minutes later; photos from the scene show the motorcyclist on the road with debris and a helmet scattered nearby, with members of the public attempting to assist.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were alerted at around 6.10pm and 6.15pm respectively. The motorcyclist was conscious when transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and is assisting with ongoing police investigations into the accident.
