Man, 67, found dead slumped over void deck table at Yishun Block 128

A 67-year-old man was found dead at the void deck of Block 128 Yishun Street 11 on Thursday, 9 July, after he was discovered slumped over a table at approximately 4.15pm. An eyewitness reported that at first glance the man appeared to be asleep — dressed in a blue long-sleeved shirt and beige pants, head resting on the table, black bag placed beside him — with nothing visibly amiss. Police officers arrived at around 4.30pm and were observed attempting to rouse the man before establishing a cordon around the void deck area. Investigators in surgical gloves were seen examining the scene and its surroundings over the following hours. A police hearse removed the man's body at approximately 8.35pm. The Singapore Police Force confirmed the man was found motionless and was pronounced dead at the scene, adding that no foul play is suspected based on preliminary investigations. Police investigations remain ongoing.
