Loan sharks dox Yishun man with fake 'God of Fortune' poster, send cement and funeral wrea
A 42-year-old delivery driver at Block 476B Yishun Street 44 became the target of an escalating loan shark harassment campaign after borrowing S$8,000 earlier in 2025, with lenders now demanding over S$10,000 more than the original sum. The harassment included funeral wreaths sent to curse him, bags of cement piled at his front door, and a fabricated 'God of Fortune' poster placed in his lift lobby on Nov. 20 โ complete with his photo, home address, and false accusations of being a swindler and sex offender. The man, surnamed Huang, lodged a police report after his father spotted the poster, which was subsequently removed by officers; the same night, loan sharks texted him threatening further retaliation. Huang has since installed a CCTV camera at his unit and told Shin Min Daily News he feels 'guilty' and 'helpless', having turned to unlicensed moneylenders after his logistics business collapsed. Police confirmed investigations are ongoing.
