Delivery driver watched porn in van, then molested jogger on Yishun Ave 1

A 60-year-old delivery driver, Kannan Sukumaran, molested and punched a female jogger along Yishun Ave 1 on the evening of May 12, 2020, after watching pornography in his parked company van. Kannan approached the 36-year-old victim from behind, grabbed her across the chest, squeezed her breast, and attempted to drag her toward nearby bushes before punching her once in the chest when she resisted — causing her to fall and sustain a bleeding cut to her left elbow. He then told the fallen woman he intended to rape her before fleeing in the van after a passing jogger responded to the victim's cries for help. That witness recorded the van's plate number, leading to Kannan's arrest at his home later that same night at 11:33pm. Convicted of aggravated outrage of modesty, Kannan was sentenced to four-and-a-half years' imprisonment plus three months in lieu of caning, as men over 50 are exempt from caning under Singapore law.
