Nearly 1kg of heroin seized from Yishun Ave 6 flats in overnight CNB sweep
A CNB operation spanning 3โ4 April 2013 dismantled a drug trafficking network operating out of HDB blocks along Yishun Avenue 6, resulting in the arrest of five suspects and the seizure of approximately 987 grammes of heroin, 9 grammes of Ice, and 34 Erimin-5 tablets โ with a combined street value exceeding S$105,000. The operation began at around 4pm when CNB Supervision Division officers arrested a 33-year-old male at a lift lobby in the Yishun Avenue 6 vicinity, recovering heroin and Erimin-5 from his person before raiding his unit for additional drugs and paraphernalia. A second suspect, aged 44, was arrested at another lift lobby the same evening, with a subsequent raid on his unit yielding a further 195 grammes of heroin and 21 Erimin-5 tablets. In the early hours of 4 April, a 31-year-old Malaysian male was arrested at a void deck in the same vicinity, with 228 grammes of heroin found on him and a further 463 grammes recovered from his Malaysian-registered car parked nearby. Investigations remain ongoing.
