Cat found shaved and bloodied at Yishun Block 430B void deck

A dead cat was discovered at the void deck of Block 430B, Yishun Avenue 11, with signs of suspected abuse including partial shaving and bloodstains on the floor and walls. A cleaner alerted the Sembawang Town Council, which notified community cat group Yishun 326 Tabby Cat, who in turn reported the case to both the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) and the SPCA. AVS Group Director Jessica Kwok confirmed investigations are ongoing into the suspected abuse, while MP Louis Ng Kok Kwang — also CEO of animal welfare group Acres — appealed publicly for witnesses, stating: "Another life has been lost. Too many cats have been killed or abandoned." The SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrest and prosecution, and the incident follows reports of 21 stray cats going missing in nearby Ang Mo Kio.
