Cannabis greenhouse discovered inside Yishun Street 31 flat, two arrested

CNB officers raided a residential unit near Yishun Street 31 on 9 September 2019, uncovering a makeshift indoor greenhouse containing two potted cannabis plants alongside glass smoking apparatuses, cultivation equipment, and printed growing instructions. The operation was triggered upstream — ICA officers at SingPost Centre's Parcel Post Section had intercepted suspicious glass apparatuses in an incoming parcel, leading investigators directly to the flat. A 44-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both Singaporean, were arrested at the scene. Cannabis cultivation in Singapore carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, a $40,000 fine, or both under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
