Yishun man breaks into neighbour's flat three times in one night, falls asleep during inte
A Yishun resident attempted to break into a fellow Yishunite's flat not once but three times in a single night, in an incident recounted on Facebook by victim Molina on Oct. 26, 2017. The suspect was first spotted fumbling at a corridor-facing window at around 5.20am, fled when the homeowner greeted him — mistaking him for a helpful stranger returning her cat — then returned twice more before being apprehended by SPF officers on his third attempt. The break-in caused approximately S$100 in damage to aluminium window grilles, which Molina was advised to claim compensation for. Police later informed Molina that the suspect was himself a Yishun resident, and that he allegedly fell asleep halfway through his police interrogation. No injuries were reported; Molina's two-year-old son slept through the entire ordeal, though she has since stocked up on homemade pepper spray.
