Pregnant Yishun driver flipped by red-light runner, 6 months along: 'I'm thankful to be al
A 31-year-old Singaporean woman, six months pregnant with her first child, was left fighting for her life after a red-light running driver slammed into her vehicle on Yishun Avenue 2 on Nov. 27, 2024, at approximately 8:50am. Dashcam footage captured the silver car running a red light at speed and clipping Lee's vehicle mid-intersection, sending it spinning and overturning onto the road. Despite being upside down, seatbelt partially dislodged and windscreen shattered, Lee's first instinct was to shield her unborn child โ she was eventually pulled free by a passing stranger while other motorists redirected traffic. Hospitalised until Dec. 1, Lee sustained bruises and a chronic head injury, and is still undergoing monitoring for her baby's condition. She has since filed a police report, engaged a lawyer, and says she can no longer bring herself to sit in a car.
