North View Primary School in Yishun reported 147 suspected gastroenteritis cases among pupils across different levels, with symptoms first appearing on Jan 13, 2026. One pupil was hospitalised on Jan 17 but discharged the following day in stable condition; most students had recovered by Jan 18. The school, Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) launched a joint investigation into the outbreak, which can spread through contaminated food or water, person-to-person contact, or contaminated environments.

Symptoms reported included diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain and fever. The school implemented precautionary measures including deep cleaning and sanitising of classrooms and common areas, minimising schoolwide gatherings, and reminding pupils to practise good hygiene and rest at home if unwell. NVPS does not operate under the central kitchen model adopted by 13 other Singapore schools, distinguishing it from a concurrent outbreak at River Valley Primary School earlier that month, where 60 pupils reported gastroenteritis symptoms after lunch on Jan 14.
