Honda Civic driver overtakes badly, hits barrier on Lentor Ave in Yishun
A white Honda Civic crashed into road barriers along Lentor Avenue in Yishun after a botched overtaking manoeuvre on October 4, with the incident captured on video and shared to the Facebook page SGRV. The 27-year-old driver attempted to cut from the rightmost lane to the left to overtake another vehicle, only for both cars to move simultaneously into the same lane, sending the Civic careening into the left barrier before clipping an adjacent car and hitting the barriers a second time. The driver was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, while a 66-year-old driver of the other vehicle is assisting with police investigations. Migrant workers at the scene stepped in to help the driver away from the wreckage before emergency services arrived, drawing widespread praise in the comments โ a rare wholesome footnote to what was otherwise a textbook case of impatience meeting construction-zone geometry.
