A garbage truck self-skidded and flipped onto its side at the junction of Yishun Avenue 7 and Sembawang Road on Sunday, 5 July 2026 at approximately 11.20am, knocking over a lamppost and coming to rest across a traffic island. The 47-year-old truck driver and two male passengers, aged 47 and 60, were all sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in a conscious state. Police and LTA officers attended the scene, and the truck driver is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
